Uniq adopts MICROS Creations

Uniq, the leading European chilled convenience food group has selected MICROS Creations as it’s centralised recipe and specification system to manage branded and own label products. As a major force in Chilled and Frozen food production, Uniq manufacture predominantly fresh chilled desserts, salads, sandwiches, dips and dressings and ready meals for sale in the UK and continental Europe. Increasing demands for technical data from their retail and food service customers meant it was time for Uniq to source an integrated recipe specification development system to cover multiple manufacturing sites. After a comprehensive and detailed review of potential suppliers, Uniq selected the industry leading Creations solution. The system will streamline the whole product development process, manage approval cycles and automatically upload data onto retail customer portals. Shop floor data collection was also a key requirement for Uniq who are also deploying the Creations QA module. Centralised control of quality attributes will be maintained in Creations and electronically sent to the mobile data collection devices in the factory. This ensures close adherence to specification, drives up quality standards at all times and will provide significant cost benefits.
